The Forest Cottages nestle in the tranquil Vale of Kerry on the border of Powys,Wales and Shropshire. Holiday Cottages of Wales is a family run self catering business and Paul and Michelle are delighted to offer a choice of 3 splendid Victorian self catering holiday cottages and a large luxury log cabin set in 4 acres of beautiful gardens and paddocks.
The Forest Country Cottages offer holiday accommodation with each holiday cottage sleeping 4, 5 or 6 people with extra beds for children also possible. Two adjacent cottages have internal doors which may be unlocked for larger groups and one cottage has a ground floor bedroom. Children of all ages are welcome and there is plenty to entertain them with an outside play area, toy boxes and a free games room. WIFI is available in all cottages and pets are welcome in all but Forest Lodge. We also have a newly surfaced tennis court and one of the holiday cottages and the log cabin have a private hot tub in their secluded gardens.
Our peaceful rural setting makes these holiday cottages the perfect place to relax and an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions of Mid Wales including Powis Castle National Trust at Welshpool. Less than a mile away is Kerry village which has a pub restaurant and a 5 minute drive takes you to Newtown, a 13th century market town. Welshpool and Montgomery are nearby with their museums, castle ruins, art galleries and great places to eat. The coast and Snowdonia are within easy reach for a daytrip.
